Ever since we started in the business, growing geraniums has been the important speciality of Grup Roig. This vocation and the desire to achieve better and better results have led us to invest in programmes aimed at the genetic improvement of the pelargonium. We have been developing our own genetics, in collaboration with IRTA since 1997 and this has materialised in the “Costa” series, comprising 3 ornamental species of geranium. An important characteristic is that they have been obtained, selected and developed in a Mediterranean climate and thus they are much more resistant to high temperatures.
